Sushasan Tihar Brings Massive Development Works to Dhamtari

*Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai gifts 102 development works worth Rs 465 Crore in Dhamtari under Sushasan Tihar* *Major Announcements for four-lane road from Ambedkar Chowk to Rudri Chowk, Gaurav Path and potable water well construction* *Sushasan Tihar has emerged as a strong medium for quick resolution of public grievances and sensitive administration: Chief Minister* Raipur, 17 May 2026/ Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday attended the Sushasan Tihar programme in Dhamtari and dedicated 102 development works worth Rs 465 crore to the district. He performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 52 projects worth Rs 423.52 crore and inaugurated 50 works costing over Rs 41.50 crore. The projects include expansion of roads, drinking water facilities, urban infrastructure and other public amenities aimed at improving basic services for citizens. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister appealed residents across the state to participate and avail benefit of Sushasa Tihar being organised from May 1 to June 10th. He said the state government is focusing on good governance, sensitive administration and timely resolution of public issues. Highlighting digital governance initiatives, he said the proposed Chief Minister Helpline, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and Electricity Bill Payment Resolution Scheme would provide relief and better access to services for beneficiaries. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that along with Sushasan Tihar in Bastar division, the “Bastar Munne” and “Niyad Nellanar 2.0” campaigns are also being conducted, which will give new momentum to development works in remote areas. Referring to the “Chief Minister Swasth Bastar Abhiyan”, he said that Health Department teams are visiting homes to conduct health check-ups and ensure treatment for those in need. The Chief Minister called for public participation in building a Developed Chhattisgarh along with a Developed India by the year 2047. During the programme, the Chief Minister distributed benefits under Ayushman Card and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and launched the “Dream Corridor” video and “Maa Abhiyan” coffee table book. An MoU was also signed between the Dhamtari district administration and Learning Joy Bengaluru. On this occasion, Chief Minister announced several important projects for the people of Dhamtari. These include construction of a four-lane road from Ambedkar Chowk to Rudri Chowk, construction of an intake well for drinking water in Dhamtari, development of a Gaurav Path from Rani Durgavati Chowk to Bilaimata Temple, sanction of Rs 1.5 crore for the building of Kanya Higher Secondary School Kurud, and allocation of funds for PM Shri Swami Atmanand School. The programme was attended by Mahasamund MP Smt. Roopkumari Choudhary, Kurud MLA Shri Ajay Chandrakar, Dhamtari MLA Shri Omkar Sahu, Mayor Shri Ramu Rohra, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Backward Classes Commission Shri Nehru Nishad, Raipur Division Commissioner Shri Shyam Dhawde, Superintendent of Police Shri Suraj Singh Parihar, along with public representatives, officials and a large number of citizens.
