CG NEWS: Mysterious White Bear Seen Roaming Forest, Villagers Living in Fear
A rare white albino bear has been spotted in the forests of Chhattisgarh’s Marwahi Forest Division, creating both curiosity and fear among local villagers. The unusual sighting took place near Aamadand village, where residents were shocked to see a completely white bear moving among regular black bears. While many people were amazed by the rare animal, panic spread in the area after reports emerged of the bear attacking a local resident. According to local sources, the bear suddenly attacked a man identified as Lallu Driver while he was near the forest region. The attack left him seriously injured, especially on his hands. Villagers immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. After the incident, fear has increased among people living in nearby villages, as many are worried about further encounters with the animal. The forest department has become alert following the incident and is closely monitoring the movement of the bear. Officials are advising villagers to avoid entering deep forest areas alone and to remain cautious, especially during early morning and evening hours when wild animals are more active. Forest teams are also conducting surveillance in nearby villages to ensure public safety. Wildlife experts explained that the white bear is not a different species or a polar bear, as some villagers initially believed. Experts say the animal is most likely suffering from albinism, a rare genetic condition that causes a lack of pigment in the body. Because of this condition, the bear’s fur appears completely white instead of the usual black color seen in sloth bears commonly found in central India. Experts further stated that albino animals are extremely rare in the wild, making such sightings uncommon and scientifically significant. However, despite its rare appearance, the bear remains a wild animal and can become dangerous if disturbed or threatened. The rare sighting has now become a major topic of discussion across the region. While many wildlife enthusiasts are excited about the discovery, villagers remain worried about their safety after the recent attack. The forest department continues to stay on high alert as efforts are being made to protect both the people and the rare animal.
